Ausuittuq Adventures is a 100% Inuit owned Outfitting/ Guide service operating since 2020. It is located in Grise Fiord, Nunavut, Canada also known as Ausuittuq (The Place that never melts) which is on Ellesmere Island. One of the most remote places on Earth, Ellesmere Island and the wildlife on it has experienced little human activity, which makes this one of the most unique Adventures and Tours you can find.
Grise Fiord
Grise Fiord (Inuktitut: ᐊᐅᔪᐃᑦᑐᖅ, romanized: Aujuittuq which means ('place that never thaws') located on the southern tip of Ellesmere Island, in the Qikiqtaaluk Region in the territory of Nunavut, Canada. The settlement was created by the Canadian Government in 1953. It is the northernmost public community in Canada with a populaton of about 130 and one of the coldest inhabited places in the world, with an average yearly temperature of −16.5 °C (2.3 °F). with an Average low of -40.0 °C (- 40 F) in the WInter.
